The football pitch shares the roof with the basketball court. The synthetic grass is laid over a draining screed, so play resumes quickly after a downpour, which matters here between June and October.
The cage runs the full height of the pitch and closes over the top, so the ball never leaves the surface. That is what makes a rooftop pitch workable without someone permanently watching it.
